Kettler Fitness has launched a new series of elliptical cross trainers designed with front-drive wheel. The series is labeled as ELYX. By far the most popular of these machines is the ELYX 5 elliptical trainer. This was enough reason for us to test this machine and write a review.
Kettler Elyx 5 Elliptical Trainer Review
The ELYX 5 is not a cheap machine. This machine is made in Germany and it is the most expensive elliptical trainer that comes from Kettler. It is equipped with the Siemens programmable LCD computer console. The display provides high resolution and easy to read digital and graphical workout data with a graphic 480 dot matrix showing program hill profiles. It has a back light for dark settings. The computer programming includes 2 heart rate control programs that automatically adjust resistance levels and a recovery feature which provides a grading a cardio wellness grading.
The Kettler Fitness ELYX 5 elliptical cross trainer is equipped with a heavy 48.5-pound drive system providing a 20" stride length which is long enough for even taller users. The resistance can be adjusted in 5 watt increments from 25 watts to 400 watts providing enough range to challenge beginners through world class athletes. Its powder coated, high carbon steel frame can be folded for easy storage. It is covered by a lifetime warranty. Additionally, transport whells are built-in for easy relocating.
What we like: Every pivot point uses sealed ball bearings that never need lubricating.

The most expensive place to buy Kettler cross trainer is the official website. A better option is to order from some of the reputable Kettler's dealers (Amazon or Hayneedle, for instance). They offer lower prices and proven good customer support. There is always at least one shop that has an active sale.
