The first thing you notice is its sturdy construction and a new console with wide blue backlit LED display with 10 workout programs. There is iPod docking station with speakers built-in on both sides of the console. It also has a book holder / device rack and an adjustable 3-speed cooling fan placed just below the display. The elliptical trainer will automatically monitor your performance and adjust machine resistance, once you set your optimum heart rate and put the wireless heart-rate strap (it comes with the wireless chest belt). A robust and well-built frame accommodates users up to 300 lbs. The CE 3.6 elliptical trainer is backed by an industry leading warranty that includes lifetime warranty on a frame and braking system, 5 years on parts and 2-year in-home labor warranty. It is equipped with ergonomic, pivoting foot pedals that provide 18 inches stride length. The magnetic resistance allows intensity 16 levels which are more than enough for any fitness enthusiast.

The old, good Smooth Fitness has gone out of business. The brand belongs to the other maufacturer, now. It offers new elliptical series, which have nothing similar (except the name) with the old, proven crosstrainers. If you are looking to buy Smooth Fitness elliptical trainer, rather get one of the proven elliptical machines, such as: the Horizon EX59 or even more expensive the Sole e35.
