SCHWINN AD2 AIRDYNE REVIEW
Schwinn AD2 airdyne Elliptical Bike Trainer
The Schwinn AD2 is out of manufacture. Instead, we suggest you to consider the Horizon EX-59 or even better and a bit more expensive Sole E25. These are machines of much better quality, sold at a similar price range.
Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Review
Although this machine officially belongs to the group of upright exercise bikes, we got one unit of the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne to test it and write this review. The Airdyne is designed as an elliptical machine with seat, or more like an exercise bike with upper body workout option. It was interesting for us because with the price of around $399 it is one of the cheapest exercise machines, but still offering the original Scwinn quality. It is simply clever to have it in the gym.
The unique Schwinn Fitness air/wind resistance system is based on exponential resistance, which simply means so the harder you pedal, the higher the resistance becomes. It provides an unparalleled upper- and lower-body workout. It is equipped with a foot rest pegs allowing user to target upper body exercies without using legs. The Airdyne flywheel provides smooth resistance while cooling you during the workout.
Drawbacks: If a drawback does exist, we found it in the uncomfortable seat. If you ride for a while, longer than 15-20 minutes everyday, you may wish a larger overstuff seat. However, you can add a nice plush and cushy bicycle seat if you want to.
